Thetford murder investigation sees police at Abbey Estate property




Norfolk Police have been seen investigating a property in Thetford, following the death of David Lawal.

The 25-year-old was discovered by members of the public on the side of Brandon Road on Thursday.

Despite efforts made by them and paramedics to save his life, Mr Lawal was pronounced dead at the scene just before 8pm from a single stab wound to the neck/upper chest area.

Residents of Durham Way in the town have reported seeing a 'heavy' police presence at a property on the street for around three days now.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said: "Police officers will be visiting a number of addresses in the Thetford area, including the property in Durham Way, as part of our investigation in to the murder of a 25 year old man in Thetford last Thursday evening."

Three people arrested in connection with the murder have been released while the investigation continues.
