Fund-raising Bury St Edmunds Abbey Rotary online charity auction is open for bids

An online annual charity auction run by a Bury St Edmunds organisation is back for a fourth year and open for bids.

The Bury Abbey Rotary has more than 120 lots, with bids invited until 10pm on April 6.

Many of the lots have been donated by local charities, which will receive the sale value of their lot.

Items on offer include an Ooni gas pizza oven.

Bury Abbey Rotary said lots start from ‘pocket money prices’, with proceeds – after minimal costs are deducted – either going to the donating charity or Rotary charities, with the club supporting more than 30 over the past year.

Nic Hardy, president of Bury Abbey Rotary, said: “Everyone has that difficult to buy for loved-one, but we have the solution. From clay pigeon shooting, afternoon tea, designer handbags or having a ride in a classic car, there’s something for everyone. Many are ‘money can’t buy’ opportunities.”
