Teenagers arrested in Mildenhall Market Place after anti-social behaviour reports




Two teenagers were arrested for drug offences and assaulting a police officer in Mildenhall yesterday.

Police went to the Market Place following reports of anti-social behaviour at 3.20pm.

Brandon Cheshire, 19, of Oak Drive, Beck Row, was arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug – cannabis – and on suspicion of assault by beating of a police officer.

He was charged with both offences and has been bailed to return to Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on December 6.

A 14-year-old boy also arrested and taken to Bury Police Investigation Centre on suspicion of possession of cannabis and of assault by beating of a police officer has been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
