St Nicholas Hospice Care invites people to talk about death

A national campaign to get people talk about dying, death and grief will be taken on by St Nicholas Hospice Care next week.

During Dying Matters Week (13-19 May), the hospice's education team will be talking to passers-by in four locations and holding sessions in schools, colleges and youth groups, support young people to develop resilience by discussing life’s challenges such as death, divorce, loss and grief.

Lisa Patterson, the hospice's community hospice educator and life’s questions lead, said: "We are looking forward to chatting to people, young and old about dying, death and grief.

Talking openly about our needs and wishes, will also help your family, friends, colleagues and the local community, support you better.”
