Stowmarket shop targeted by burglars causing 'significant damage' to front door




A shop in Stowmarket was targeted by burglars last week.

The burglary was on Tuesday, September 22 at some time between 2am and 2.35am at The Trade Inn shop, at The Meadow Centre, in Wilkes Way.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said it is believed two men forced entry into the premises, causing 'significant damage' to the front door, and setting off the alarm.

"The suspects ran from the scene a short time later in the direction of Asda and are thought to have driven off in a white hatchback car, possibly a Mazda," he said.

"It is not known at this time what was stolen."

Police attended but the culprits have not been found.
