Seven fireworks displays going ahead in Suffolk this November




With many fireworks displays cancelled again this year you might be wondering you can enjoy an organised bonfire night event to mark Guy Fawkes in 2021.

We've found seven fireworks displays in Suffolk which have confirmed they are going ahead next month – please ensure you check whether advance tickets are needed before travelling.

1. Christchurch Park, Ipswich, November 6

Christchurch Park is gearing up to hold its 50th anniversary fireworks display this November.

Ipswich's longest running annual fireworks display will be a spectacular musical extravaganza, with the display alone – accompanied by number one hits spanning the past five decades – costing more than £20,000.

The Sheringham Shantymen, Funky Voices, Adam Thomas and Chelsea Francis will provide live entertainment, while there will also be locally-sourced street food stalls, a bar, fairground and children's funfair and bonfire.

Gates open 6pm with the fireworks at 8pm. Tickets cost £9 adults, £7 children aged five-15 and under fives free.

2. Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, November 5

The only major organised fireworks display in Bury St Edmunds this year is at the rugby club on November 5.

Always a popular family-friendly event, in addition to the fireworks display attractions will include a funfair, food stalls, bar and live music.

The gates open at 6pm, with the fireworks display at 7.30pm.

Tickets – costing £5 each (under fives free) and £2 parking charge per car – will be available on the gate.

3. Kingfishers at Cretingham, near Framlingham, November 6

Kingfishers at Cretingham is holding its spectacular firework display with bonfire, live music, food and drink on November 6.

The country park has a large open space for the display, with the food hall and bar opening at 4pm, live music starting at 5pm and the fireworks display at 6pm.

Tickets cost £8 each, under fives free.

4. Museum of East Anglian Life, Stowmarket, November 6

The annual bonfire night celebrations are back at the Museum of East Anglian Life on November 6, with a spectacular fireworks display, bonfire and amusements at the family-friendly event.

Gates open at 6pm, the bonfire is lit at 7pm and the fireworks start at 7.30pm.

Food and drink will be available throughout the evening.

Advance tickets are available until November 3, costing £5 adults, £3.50 children (aged four-16) and £15 family (two adults and up to three children).

Standard tickets cost £6 adults and £4 children.

5. Heveningham Hall, November 6

Tickets for this year's charity Heveningham Hall fireworks spectacular are on sale now and are set to be popular.

The event is headlined by Razorlight, with more live music from Freddie and the Freeloaders and Three Little Kings.

There will also be a bonfire, food and drink stalls, bars, a funfair and more. Gates open at 4.30pm.

Pedestrian gate tickets cost £15 for adults, £5 children (aged four-14).

Vehicle tickets, including up to seven passengers, cost £35 in advance or £40 on the gate.

6. Lowestoft and Yarmouth Rugby Club, November 6

Gunton Park is hosting the return of the Lowestoft and Yarmouth Rugby Club firework extravaganza, with funfair, live music, food and drink stalls from 6.30-9pm.

Tickets – costing £5 plus booking fee (under fives free, no ticket needed) – will be extremely limited and only available in advance online.

7. Ipswich Fireworks Festival, Suffolk Showground, November 6

The Ipswich Fireworks Festival family display and concert will feature Boyzlife on stage this year, with support from Nate James.

The event is walk or drive-in so you can choose how to experience it: walk in and enjoy free on-site parking a short walk from the arena where you can watch live entertainment climaxing with a spectacular firework display, or drive in and watch the stage show on a huge outdoor screen from the comfort of your car and then enjoy the firework display.

The gates of Trinity Park open at 5pm, entertainment starts at 6pm and the fireworks display is at 8pm.

Tickets cost £39 adults (£15 early bird offer if you book in time), £5 children (ages five-17, under fives free) or £30 for a drive-in car ticket.
