Ixworth collision: Man in 50s taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with life-changing injuries




A motorcyclist in his 50s sustained life-changing injuries in a collision on the A1088 Thetford Road junction with Bardwell Road in Ixworth.

The man, who was riding a black KTM motorbike, was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with a number of injuries to his foot, legs and hips.

Police were called to the incident at 1.20pm on Saturday, July 14. A black Kia Carens car was also involved.

Any witnesses to the collision, or anyone travelling in the area who may have dashcam footage of the vehicles, is asked to contact the Bury St Edmunds Roads and Armed Policing Team, quoting reference 41334/19.
