West Suffolk Hospital confirms second patient with coronavirus has died
A second patient with coronavirus at West Suffolk Hospital has died.
The patient was in their 70s and had underlying health conditions.
Nick Jenkins, medical director for the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust said: “We can confirm that sadly, a patient in their 70s with underlying health conditions has passed away at West Suffolk Hospital. They had tested positive for COVID-19. Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patient’s family and loved ones at this difficult time."
It follows the death of a patient at the hospital earlier this week who was in their 70s and had underlying health conditions.
As of 9am yesterday (March 25), 463 patients in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.
