Bury St Edmunds: Abbots Green Academy issues warning after man spotted offering sweets to pupil

A school in a Suffolk town has issued a warning after a man was spotted offering sweets to a pupil.

In a message to parents seen by Suffolk News, Bury St Edmunds Police has let parents and carers know that they have received a report that a man has been seen on the pavement outside the school offering a pupil some sweets on their way home from school.

The man has been described as white, about 40 to 50 years old, normal build, tall with a beard, and wearing a dark blue leather jacket and baggy jeans.

Officers have said if you have any reports or incidents, or you see this male, to contact the police.
