Suffolk Police say Compiegne Way in Bury St Edmunds should reopen shortly following a collision between two cars.

Emergency services, including three fire appliances, were called at about 4.30pm and the road was closed between the Northgate Street and Tesco roundabouts while they dealt with the incident.

Police said at 5.30pm that there had only been minor injuries and recovery vehicles were expected on scene imminently.

Drivers are being advised to avoid the area while traffic clears.
