Rolling road block on A14 near Risby, outside Bury St Edmunds, following multi-vehicle crash




Emergency services were alerted to a multi-vehicle crash on the A14 where a rolling road block was in place.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to the westbound carriageway near Risby, outside Bury St Edmunds, at 1.45pm.

The AA traffic map is showing heavy delays in the area due to the rolling road block, however one lane has now reopened.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said it is believed eight vehicles were involved in the incident and recovery is on scene.

There have been no reported injuries.

Earlier today, the A14 was closed for nearly four hours after a crash involving two cars and a van on the eastbound carriageway near the British Sugar factory.

A person was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for treatment.
