arc shopping centre in Bury St Edmunds to host free Halloween Witchcraft Arc-ademy in October half-term




This half-term children have a chance to ride on a broomstick and listen to stories around a steaming cauldron as witches visit a Suffolk shopping centre.

On Wednesday, October 25, Charter Square, at the arc shopping centre in Bury St Edmunds will be transformed into the Witchcraft Arc-ademy ready for a free day of Halloween fun.

Organisers are promising families a bewitching time at the event will which will be running from 11am – 3pm.

As well as having a go on a broomstick and warming up by the cauldron children will be taught how to cackle and walk like a zombie with arc’s mystical mentors.

Organisers for the event said: “Everybody’s favourite anti-hero and mistress of darkness will be lurking in the shadows of Charter Square, ready to send shivers down spines or snap a selfie.”

Allan Hassell, centre manager at arc shopping centre, said: "We are thrilled to welcome everyone to the Witchcraft Arc-ademy this Halloween.

“It's going to be a marvellous day filled with magic and fun for all the family. It is always our aim to give back to our local community with these amazing, free, events.

“Throughout the event we will be encouraging others to do the same by donating whatever they can to our charity of the year, Gatehouse."

Local vendors, including A La Cart's traditional hot dog stand and the Dog Shack, will be setting up in Charter Square, donating their pitch fees to Gatehouse.
