Proposals drawn up for Barton Mills ambulance station

Plans have been submitted for changes to the East of England Ambulance Station, in Barton Mills.

Proposals submitted to West Suffolk Council include reconfiguration of parking, vehicle and pedestrian ramps, a vehicle wash bay following demolition of the existing bay, a gas bottle store, roller shutter doors to the south-west elevation, an entrance door to the south-east elevation and electric vehicle charging points.

Documents submitted to planners said the proposed works would improve the external areas by providing specified areas for vehicles to be cleaned and essential maintenance carried out, while addressing parking issues for those who work on the site caused by the inadequate current layout.
