Bi-Neural win heat two of BurySOUND 2025 at The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds

A prog rock duo has secured a place in a music competition’s grand final after winning the second heat.

BurySOUND 2025 continued at the Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday with Bi-Neural, Drop Dead Sally, Jackism, Manic Stanley and Serena Gran taking to the stage in the second heat of the competition.

After a tough deliberation, judges crowned Bury-based duo Bi-Neural as the night’s winners — securing them a place in the grand final at The Apex on Saturday, April 12, where they will compete alongside heat one winners, Krumpets.

The next heat, set to return to the Hunter Club on Saturday, will see The Dutch House, Jorts, Lava Pigeon, Splinters and The 07s battle for a spot in the final before guest headliners Femme Dé close the night.

Doors open at 6pm with tickets available for £5 via The Apex box office, by calling 01284 758000 or through WhatsOnWestSuffolk.co.uk.

At the grand final, two winners will be crowned — one as the overall BurySOUND champion and another receiving the Rising Star Award (runner-up).
