Pregnant mother-of-two Hayley Smith talks of 'scary' moment paint was thrown at her house off Eastgate Street in Bury St Edmunds
A soon-to-be mum of three from Bury Edmunds has spoken of her fears after paint was thrown across her front door.
Hayley Smith, 34, who lives just off Eastgate Street, said she was upstairs at around 10pm on Sunday when she heard ‘a commotion’ in the kitchen.
"At first I thought it was one of my cats but when I went downstairs I saw the silhouette of paint on the window," she said.
Hayley, who is pregnant with her third child, added that she has so far spent six hours trying to wash the paint off.
Due to paint splatter from her pressure washer, she said she will also have to redecorate her entrance hall and buy a new front door.
“I’m angry. It’s really inconvenient and it’s going to take a long time to get it back to normal,” she said.
Suffolk Police are also investigating a similar incident in Oakes Road, Bury, where paint was thrown at a house.
Witnesses to either incident are asked to call 101 quoting 37/49645/19 for the Eastgate Street incident and CAD 26 for the Oakes Road one.
