Starlings Toymaster in Bury St Edmunds set to move to arc shopping centre and open LEGO shop
A popular Bury St Edmunds toy shop has announced it will be moving to the arc shopping centre.
Starlings Toymaster, based in Cornhill for 16 years, plans to open at the arc in early November in the former Monsoon and Accessorize.
As part of the move, the business will include a LEGO shop.
Jonathan Starling, managing director of Starlings, said: “We have loved our time at the Cornhill premises, we have enjoyed 16 happy years there but have always struggled for space.
"Cornhill has been home to a toy store since the early 1970s, but the chance to take a larger unit in the arc shopping centre was too great an opportunity to miss.
“We would like to thank the arc management team and JLL in helping us get this exciting project across the line."
Centre manager Allan Hassell added: “We are thrilled to be welcoming Starlings, as well as their exciting, new LEGO shop, as my mum was Danish and I absolutely love LEGO.
"They are a marvellous addition to arc and we are sure there will be lots of smiling faces awaiting their opening.”
Earlier this week, the arc announced that Accessorize would be returning to the shopping centre, in Gosnold Street - between the JoJo Maman Bébé and Vodafone shop.
Monsoon and Accessorize shut their shops in Charter Square in February this year.
