Queens Bar and Grill, in Churchgate Stret, Bury St Edmunds, to run Alice In Wonderland themed afternoon tea in new year




A Suffolk town pub will be running an Alice in Wonderland themed afternoon tea in the new year.

Queen’s Bar and Grill, in Churchgate Street, Bury St Edmunds, will launch its Mad Hatters afternoon tea on January 27, which will run through until March 2.

Guests can enjoy a selection of sandwiches including ham and smoked applewood with mustard mayo, smoked salmon and cream cheese and egg mayo.

Scones and homemade desserts will also be on offer, such as ‘down the rabbit hole’ chocolate cheesecake, Cheshire cat sponge and Mad Hatter’s biscoff truffle.

Guests can choose from a range of drink options including refillable tea, but also soft drinks such as Coke, lemonade or orange juice, as well as dipping into the alcoholic options.

Booking is required for the afternoon tea, with a deposit of £10 per person taken at the time of booking.

It costs £30 in total per person.

The afternoon tea is available on Saturday’s only, with slots at 12pm and 2.30pm available.
