It has been at its present site since then.

Gavin Ashley has built up a client base across the region.

The move is also an expansion for the business, which Gavin runs with his wife Tonia.

"At the moment we have 13 positions at the current salon and will be looking for another six part-time and full-time stylists," said Tonia.

"After the pandemic, all of our clients came back, and we gained even more, which meant we needed a bigger and more modern premises.

"The site, next to Denny Bros is perfect, as it is a nice area of town with lost going for it.

"We are keeping it in the style of the old salon, which we refurbished four years ago, so it will look similar, but we have also gone with an industrial theme, keeping the original brick work.

"We expect to open around the beginning of September and will be having an open evening to celebrate."

Gavin Ashley offers hair services including balayage, colour correction services, hair cuts, seasonal salon offers & cruelty-free haircare.

The salon also recycles its waste products in line with its green policies.
