Police release one man arrested after stabbing in Moreton Hall, Bury St Edmunds
One of the men arrested by police after the stabbing outside The Moreton Hall in Bury St Edmunds has been released under investigation.
Last night (Wednesday, November 6) police made their fifth and sixth arrests in relation to the incident - which happened at 11.35pm on Friday, October 25.
The attack, which police say could have been targeted, left a man in hospital with serious injuries.
Four other men were arrested at the end of October:
- A 32-year-old man from Bury St Edmunds was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder on Wednesday 30 October. He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where he was questioned and subsequently released on bail until Monday 25 November pending further enquiries.
-A 29-year-old man from Haverhill was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder on Monday 28 October. He was questioned and subsequently released on bail until Monday 25 November pending further enquiries.
-A 24-year-old man from Bury St Edmunds was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder on Saturday 26 October. He was questioned and subsequently released on bail until Monday 18 November pending further enquiries.
-A 29-year-old man from Bury St Edmunds was arrested shortly after the attack on Saturday 26 October. He was questioned and subsequently released under investigation.
