Police investigate two suspicious vehicle-related incidents in one Moreton Hall road




Police were called to the Moreton Hall estate, in Bury St Edmunds, at 4.30am today after two men were seeing trying car doors.

The incident – and a another of stolen numberplates reported to police at 7.30am – took place in Cranesbill Drive.

Officers were first called at 4.30am to a report of two men trying the door of a vehicle. A patrol was sent to the area but, despite a search, the suspects were not found.

Three hours later, police were called again after numberplates were found stolen from a Vauxhall Vivaro van in the same road.

Inquiries into both incidents are ongoing. Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting CAD44 of September 3 or CAD52 of September 3.
