Police hunt for A14 traffic runners
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen two females on the A14 in the Bury St Edmunds area earlier this week.
The incident happened on Monday, July 1, in the late afternoon. During a period of three hours there were reports of two suspects walking and running across the main A14 dual carriageway.
It is reported they were seen running in and out of traffic on the A14 between junction 43 and junction 41 east and west bound.
The incident caused a lot of disruption to traffic and police had to put several roadblocks on to protect the safety of both the two individuals and the public.
Officers were called and made two arrests. Two 15 year old teenage girls were arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre and subsequently released under investigation.
If motorists have any dash-cam footage of the incident they should get in touch with police, by calling 101, quoting crime number 37/38218/19.
