Two-car crash at Fishwick Corner in Rougham, near Bury St Edmunds, sees air ambulance attend and road blocked

Multiple emergency services including the air ambulance attended a two-car crash near Bury St Edmunds.

Police were alerted at 11.25am to the collision at Fishwick Corner, in Rougham.

A spokesman said two people were injured and one person was taken to hospital.

Firefighters, the ambulance service and the air ambulance were at the scene.

A woman was trapped in one of the cars and the fire service used cutting gear to free her.

Two fire crews from Bury St Edmunds attended.

A police spokesman said the road was blocked at the Rougham turn-off.

Recovery of the vehicles was under way at 1.30pm, with the road expected to reopen shortly after.
