Police believe log was thrown at moving car in Stowmarket

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was hit by a log in Stowmarket causing the driver to crash the vehicle.

A man was driving along Needham Road at approximately 9.15pm on Saturday December 27 when a log hit his front windscreen causing it to smash.

He then lost control of the car and collided with nearby barriers.

It is believed that someone may have thrown the object.

Any who witnessed the incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time is asked to call PC Judith Hambling from Stowmarket on 101 quoting ST/14/3498 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
