SuffolkNews Podcast: Plans for Sizewell C new nuclear power plant receives £100million of government funding

In today's podcast we discuss how plans to build a new nuclear power plant on the Suffolk coast have received £100million of government funding.

If built, Sizewell C would power the equivalent of around six million homes, supporting up to 10,000 jobs in Suffolk and across the UK.

Business and Energy Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng has today committed to the funding, which will continue the development of the Sizewell C project, being run by energy company EDF.

Meanwhile, the A143 at Stuston, near Diss, is blocked after a crash involving a car and tractor.

Also plans to build a new nuclear power plant on the Suffolk coast have received £100million of government funding.

Bosses behind the construction of a new hospital in Bury St Edmunds have said they are considering whether to move some outpatient services to a new public services hub.
