The other nine properties would be affordable homes, including two one-bedroom apartments, five two-bedroom houses and two three-bedroom houses.

In the design and access statement, it said: “The proposed development seeks to enhance the local community by providing a diverse range of housing options and creating new, accessible amenity spaces for both existing and future residents.

“It will improve public access throughout the site and seamlessly integrate into the wider pedestrian network, enhancing connectivity for the broader community.”

If approved, the development would be built on agricultural land east of Warren Lane and access would be provided through a new entry on the road, alongside a pedestrian and cycle link.

Mid Suffolk District Council will review the application during a consultation on Tuesday, April 15.
