Physiotherapist Jane Bos celebrates 30 years working at Bury Physio, of Maynewater Lane, Bury St Edmunds
A physiotherapist said she still has ‘a lot more to give’ after marking a milestone in her profession.
Jane Bos, of Bury St Edmunds, has worked for Bury Physio, in Maynewater Lane, for 30 years.
Jane started her career by training in Cambridgeshire and working as a physiotherapist in the NHS for nearly a decade – including a year in Australia – before settling in Bury in 1994.
She started her family and joined Bury Physio, which was then based in Guildhall Street before moving to Maynewater Lane in 1998.
Jane, who specialises in a variety of conditions, including dizziness, imbalance and breathing disorders, said celebrating three decades of working as a physiotherapist felt ‘unbelievable’.
“I had several different roles working at Bury Physio and I am as interested in getting my patients better today as I was the very first day I started,” she said.
“I’m still very inspired and I’m still doing a lot of professional training, so I still have a lot more to give.”
When asked what inspired her the most throughout her career, Jane said: “Last year, I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and one of the things that kept me going was all the patients who I had encouraged to get better from really quite painful and difficult medical conditions.
“They inspired to keep going when things got very tough for me. I thought ‘if they can do it, I can do it’.”
The team at Bury Physio marked Jane’s milestone with a surprise party last Tuesday.
Jane added: “My colleagues are amazing. We all support each other as a friendship and professionally.”
