Mystery Bury St Edmunds crotchet artist leaves football-themed creation on Angel Hill letterbox ahead of England's Euro semi-final clash vs Denmark
Football has been commemorated on top of a letterbox via a woolly creation.
A letterbox on Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds has been visited by a mysterious crotchet artist ahead of Wednesday's semi-final match between England and Denmark.
Players commemorated in the latest instillation includes defender John Stones, forward Raheem Sterling and goal keeper Jordan Pickford. In a hopeful manifestation the piece also features the players on the same ground as the famous UEFA Euro 2020 cup.
The phantom crotchet artist who wishes to remain anonymous took up the craft two years ago and previously made an Easter scene that was placed on the same letterbox but the artistic piece sadly disappeared after only three days of being displayed.
The artist has plans to make another scene if England win the Euro 2020 finals, but the woolly work doesn't end there.
They have said in future whenever a big event happens the people of Bury can expect a knitted scene to commemorate the event.
The piece seems to be already popular with locals as groups surrounded the letterbox at lunch time to take pictures with the art work.
