Safe and cash stolen in Bury St Edmunds distraction burglary




A metal safe with cash was stolen during a distraction burglary at a home in Bury St Edmunds.

The incident was at some point between Monday, August 26 at 6.40pm and 7.55am on Tuesday, August 27 at a property in The Vinefields.

The suspect entered the property where a woman in her late 70s lives.

They then stole a metal black safe and its cash contents.

It had been secured to the wall and floor inside a hallway cupboard.

The incident was subsequently reported by a carer who made a routine visit to the victim in the morning.
