Dream Lodge, owners of Bury St Edmunds' Fornham Park, in administration

Dream Lodge, the owners Fornham Park holiday homes in Bury St Edmunds, has collapsed with 80 staff being made redundant.

Parent company Walsham Chalet Park Limited has announced Deloitte were contacted about handling its administration on Monday, January 7.

The Clacton-on-Sea based company offers holidaymakers a chalet in a countryside setting, with some parks offering a pool, gym and spa.

Other locations include North Walsham and Ely.

No new bookings are being taken and the Dream Lodge website is currently down.

Deloitte said 80 of Dream Lodge’s 121 staff were made redundant immediately.

Richard Hawes, joint administrator, said: “Where at all possible, whilst a sale is explored, all lodge parks will remain operational.

"We understand there are a number of key stakeholders and creditors including private owners, return of investment customers and parties who have booked holiday lets.

"We will continue to work with them to seek their continued support during this difficult time.”
