Oliver Bonas announces opening date for new store at the arc Shopping Centre in Bury St Edmunds
A luxury brand retailer is set to open a store in Bury St Edmunds this weekend with a special launch event to follow.
The arc Shopping Centre announced that Oliver Bonas will open in the unit, which was previously Topshop and Topman, on Saturday, September 28.
Signage for Oliver Bonas, which specialises in fashion, jewellery and homeware, appeared on the last remaining vacant unit in the summer.
Speaking last month, Mark Cordell, chief executive of Our Bury St Edmunds, said it was another indication of how positively Bury was perceived by major brands.
Oliver Bonas will be hosting a launch event on Saturday, October 5, where the first 200 customers will receive a scratch card and the chance to win a prize.
A DJ will be entertaining customers in store between 12-4pm.
Allan Hassell, centre manager at the arc Shopping Centre, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Oliver Bonas to arc Shopping Centre and look forward to seeing our shoppers enjoy this marvellous new addition to Bury St Edmunds.
“Oliver Bonas is the fifth new tenant to join us during 2024, following on from Everyman Cinema, Primark, Deichmann, and Phase Eight who all opened in the arc this year.
“I know Oliver Bonas has been eagerly anticipated by the local community, and I’m delighted that we have been able to strengthen our retail mix to the benefit of our customers.”
Oliver Tress, founder at Oliver Bonas, said: "We are delighted to be opening a store in Bury St Edmunds at arc.
“The open-air complex, modern street-scape and vibe of the town makes it a great place for Oliver Bonas.
“We look forward to welcoming customers into our new store very soon."
