New wards for Mid Suffolk and Babergh published
The final proposals for electoral wards in Mid Suffolk and Babergh districts are published today by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England.
It follows three phases of public consultation and draws new boundaries for each council ward across the two districts.
The Commission’s final recommendations propose Mid Suffolk be represented by 34 councillors – six fewer than currenly – in eight two-councillor wards and 18 one-councillor wards.
It proposes Babergh is represented by 32 councillors in the future –11 fewer than currently – with one three-councillor ward, six two-councillor and 17 one-councillor wards.
