New Central Co-op store in Stanton near Bury St Edmunds will provide 14-16 jobs
A new shop in a Suffolk village will provide about 15 jobs as it undergoes preparations to open its doors to the public.
The Central Co-op store in Hepworth Road, Stanton, near Bury St Edmunds, is set to welcome people later this summer.
A spokesperson for Central Co-op said they are unable to provide an opening date yet but the store should create 14-16 jobs in the area.
They said: “We’re pleased to confirm that we are indeed opening our store in Stanton this summer, but at this stage we’re unable to provide a specific date.
“We’re hard at work preparing the store so that it can provide the most value for customers and Members in the local area.
“The store should be creating 14-16 jobs in the area and will feature the same quality that customers and members have come to expect from Central Co-op, including Food to Go, products supporting Our Malawi Partnership, Fairtrade goods, COOK frozen ranges, and much more.”
The store confirmed the site will feature electric vehicle chargers and there are currently six customer services assistant vacancies.
