Colchester-based Cycle Revolution to breathe new life into closed Bury St Edmunds cycle shop Revel Outdoors - with new Giant store

It will open the branch on behalf of the global brand, Giant, with whom it works closely.

Revel Outdoors shut shop in April this year after more than a decade in the town.

It has however continued as an online store.

Cycle Revolution, founded in 1984 in Ipswich, currently has six shops in Colchester, Chelmsford, Ipswich and Norwich.

The company sells a range of makes and models as well as clothing accessories and parts

The Bury St Edmunds store will sell solely Giant products - and will be open 'by the end of the year' following a shop revamp.

Andrew Lally, Cycle Revolution, digital marketing manager, said: “Cycle Revolution, hand-in-hand with Giant, the global cycling brand, will be bringing the best in cycling to Bury St Edmunds.

"Before the year ends, we plan to have the fully revitalised and refreshed store where Revel Outdoors currently stands, open and ready to help customers find the bike that suits them so they can put their passion into motion.”
