Coffee and wine bar Blend @ No 46 could open in Abbeygate Street, Bury St Edmunds

A new coffee and wine bar could be opening in Bury St Edmunds offering hot drinks during the day and cocktails in the evening.

A licencing application has been submitted to West Suffolk Council for the new establishment called Blend @ No 46 which would replace the vacant Ecigwizard in Abbeygate Street, between White Stuff and the mobile phone repair shop.

Co-owners Michael Box and Kristina Tutt have applied for permission to sell alcohol between 8am and 11pm which would be their opening hours.

A planning document states the coffee shop will be used as a deli during the day, serving sandwiches and locally sourced deli products for both dine-in and takeaway.

In the evenings, Blend @ No 46 will transform into a wine and cocktail bar serving light plates to accompany the drinks.

In the document, the owners said: “Our drinks menu will be aimed at the 30 plus demographic and guests looking for a quieter place to have a drink, providing the community with a relaxed place to enjoy an evening similar to a few other venues nearby.”
