Almost 100 people take part in Muddy Fun Run in Barrow, near Bury St Edmunds, for charity Autism Anglia
The Muddy Fun Run took place in Barrow on Saturday, raising £4,300 for a local autism charity as it celebrates its fiftieth anniversary.
The event, held at The Playground assault course in Haysborder Road, drew in 85 participants, with children as young as eight taking on a one-kilometre course through an obstacle course.
Many of those involved ended up caked in mud as they took on the monkey bars, water pit and slides.
Autism Anglia's community fundraising and engagement manager, Anna Rogers, said: "We had a lot of young children, families [taking part].
"It's really for all ages and abilities. A lot of the families taking part have children with autism.
"There's no pressure – you can enjoy the obstacles, go around, miss out if you want to, go back and take part in another one that they enjoyed.
"The playmakers and the playground are brilliant. They really support and encourage everyone, without any pressure."
Autism Anglia provides support to people with autism and their families.
It runs residential and outreach services, as well as a special school in Colchester.
Kate Hancock, Autism Anglia's chief executive, said: "The Muddy Fun Run is always a popular event, and we are so grateful for everyone that takes part and raises much-needed funds for Autism Anglia."
