Second man faces no further action over Moreton Hall stabbing
A second man arrested in connection with a stabbing in Bury St Edmunds in October will face no further action.
A man, aged in his 20s, was stabbed in a car park outside The Moreton Hall pub, Lawson Place, on October 25.
A 29-year-old man, now aged 30, from Braintree, who was arrested on November 6 on suspicion of assisting offenders will face no further action at this time, police have confirmed.
He becomes the second person to face no further action over the incident - a 29-year-old man, from Bury, was arrested was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and subsequently released under investigation. He also faces no further action at this time.
Harli Farlie, 24, of Bury, pleased guilty to a charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on December 12. He is due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court for sentencing on Thursday.
Four other men were arrested in connection with the incident, which took place at about 11.35pm when police were called to reports a man had been stabbed in the pub car park.
The victim was taken to hospital but made a recovery and was later discharged.
A 32-year-old man, from Bury, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and released on bail. He has now been released under investigation pending further inquiries.
A 29-year-old man, from Haverhill, arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder was released on bail. He has been released under investigation pending further inquiries.
A 24-year-old man, now aged 25, from Bury, who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and released on bail, has also been released under investigation pending further inquiries.
