Bury St Edmunds auctioneers Lacy Scott & Knight to put 400 circus items under hammer




More than 400 circus, fairground and magic-related collectables will go under the hammer next week in Bury St Edmunds.

Auctioneers Lacy Scott & Knight is hosting the event to celebrate the changing face of circuses over the past 100 years on Friday, October 4.

Edward Crichton, partner and auction centre manager, said: “Big names are present such as Chipperfields, Bertram Mills, Gerry Cottle and the state circuses of Moscow and China, as well as lesser-known outfits and unusual shows such as the Circus of Horrors."

Lacy Scott & Knight Auction Centre in Risbygate Street, Bury, is holding a viewing from 10am to 3pm on Thursday, October 3, before the following day's auction.
