More than 300 people visit IM Job Fair at The Athenaeum in Bury St Edmunds
More than 300 people attended the IM Job Fair at the Athenaeum, this week.
Some 29 leading businesses from across the district hosted stalls at the Bury St Edmunds event, which was held on Tuesday between 11am and 2pm.
They included recruiters from education, health, law, hospitality, emergency services, marketing, housing and care.
The annual event, is arranged in conjunction with Suffolk News.
It was the first time it has been held at the Angel Hill location with many businesses returning after successfully recruiting in previous years.
Hayley Isaac, media campaign manager, said: "There was a steady stream of people visiting throughout the day, of all ages, and the atmosphere was very positive.
"The feedback from both the public and recruiters was excellent.
"Businesses told us they had met a pleasing number of potential new recruits and several visitors expressed how they felt it was a good event for the community.
"It is a great opportunity for businesses to also raise awareness of the brand and for the public to simply see what is on offer in the local employment market.
"We're looking forward to the next event, already."
