Meet the babies born at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds on the first day of 2025
Midwives at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds welcomed six babies on New Year’s Day.
The three boys and three girls arrived on what was described as a ‘busy day’ on the maternity unit.
One of the first arrivals was Oliver Husk who was born to mum Rebecca at 8.26am - weighing 8lb exactly.
Maya-Rose Adams followed later in the morning, born to proud parents Steph and Ian.
In a Facebook post, West Suffolk Maternity said: “Maya-Rose didn’t want to miss out on all the New Year’s fun, arriving three and a half weeks early.”
Despite this Maya-Rose, who was born at 11.53am, weighed a healthy 7lb 8oz and is doing well.
