A man involved in a knifepoint robbery at a Bury St Edmunds shop has been jailed.
Jordan Carr, 31, of no fixed address, was sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court today for his role in the robbery at Tesco Express, in Lawson Place, on March 23.
He was sentenced to five years imprisonment for robbery plus a 12 month extended licence.
He also received three months concurrent for being carried in a motor vehicle taken without consent.
At a previous hearing, Carr admitted both offences .
A charge of having a bladed article was left to lay on file.
During the incident, two men armed with knives entered the shop at about 5.30pm, where they grabbed hold of and threatened members of staff.
At the time, a Suffolk Police spokesman said the victims were 'left very shaken' but did not suffer any serious injuries.
The robbers stole cash, two mobile phones and the key to a white Suzuki Alto, which was taken from outside.
The car was found later that morning in Ashwell Road, Bury.
