Bury St Edmunds Police launch appeal after man is bitten on the shoulder in Western Way dog attack




A man in his 60s was bitten on the shoulder in a dog attack in Bury St Edmunds.

The man was walking from the B&M store towards the Asda car park, in Western Way, at around 11.05am yesterday when the incident took place.

He had to step behind a female, whom was walking a black Lurcher type dog, in order to avoid a car that was turning into the car park.

The dog then jumped up towards his face, before biting him on the shoulder. He did not suffer any injuries.

The owner of the dog did not apologise and walked away.

Suffolk Police is keen to speak to the owner, who is described as a white woman, aged in her 60s, with shoulder length, grey hair.

She was wearing a black top and grey jogging bottoms at the time of the incident.
