A man charged with failing to stop for police in Ixworth yesterday has been bailed.
Officers were called at around 3.30pm to reports of ‘suspicious activity’ in the village. They requested a car to stop while at the scene, but it failed to do so.
Officers pursued the vehicle and it eventually pulled over. The driver, 36-year-old James Hearne, was arrested and charged with failing to stop for a police officer.
Hearne, of Lyne, near Chertsey in Surrey, was released on bail and is due to appear at Bury Magistrates Court on January 13.
