Man admits role in armed robbery at Bury St Edmunds jewellers

A 50-year-old man has admitted being involved in an armed robbery which took place in Bury St Edmunds more than five years ago.
Robertas Piliukaitis, of North Wood, Dublin, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court today (Monday, February 10) and pleaded guilty to robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.
He will next appear on April 14.
The incident was on Tuesday, November 4 2014 when two men threatened staff and customers at Preston and Duckworth jewellery shop on Cornhill with a black handgun and left with several high-value watches.
