Darren Hodgson, of no fixed address, admits setting fire to wall of the arc underground car park in Bury St Edmunds




A man has been fined after admitting setting fire to a wall in a town car park

Darren Hodgson, 58, of no fixed address, appeared before Suffolk Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with arson after damaging a wall in the arc underground car park, in Bury St Edmunds, on Tuesday.

Hodgson indicated to the court he was guilty of the offence.

The property he damaged belonged to West Suffolk Council.

After taking into the account the guilty plea, the court fined Hodgson £200 for the offence.

He was also levied with an £80 surcharge, taking the total costs to £280.
