A Lynford man has appeared in court charged with making threats to kill.

Joseph John Ollett, 36, of Lynford Cottages, is accused of committing three offences in Munford on October 13.

It is alleged he assaulted Mark Cavanagh and made threats to kill him.

It is also alleged he used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause Edward Kerry to fear violence would be used against him or to provoke violence by him.

Ollett gave no indication of a plea when he appeared at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Monday, represented by Claire Lockwood.

He was released on conditional bail until his next court hearing at Norwich Crown Court on November 23.

The conditions of his bail prohibit him from contacting named people or from stopping in Mundford except to drop-off or pick-up his step-daughter from school.
