Bury St Edmunds barbers: Long queues this morning as they reopen

Long queues formed outside barber shops in Bury St Edmunds this morning as they reopened following lockdown.

For many customers it will be their first professional haircut in months, with lines in Hanchet Square at the arc shopping centre for Kings Road Barbers as well as in the Traverse for Golden Scissors and in St Andrew's Street North for Adie's.

Meanwhile, a queue formed round the block into Orchard Street for Robert's Gents Hairdressers, in St John's Street.

Pubs, restaurants and hairdressers in England can reopen today with safety measures in place as businesses adapt to a new normal during the coronavirus pandemic.
