Little Stonham death: Woman named following murder investigation at Magpie Inn




A 45-year-old woman who died at the Magpie Inn in Little Stonham on Sunday has been named by police.

Following a party at the pub in Norwich Road police officers were called by the ambulance service just before 3.30am on Sunday.

A woman was reported to be unresponsive and was receiving treatment from paramedics, but died at the scene at short time later.

Pending formal Coroner’s inquest proceedings, the woman has been identified as Irena Kuzmina, from Purfleet in Essex.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Irena’s death.

A Home Office Post Mortem examination was inconclusive and further tests are required.

A 52-year-old woman from Dagenham was arrested on suspicion of murder by officers at the scene of the incident on Sunday morning.

She was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and released on bail until Sunday, December 8 pending further enquires.
