Coronavirus: Number of deaths outside of hospital

Latest data has revealed the number of coronavirus-related deaths outside of hospital since the outbreak began.

The Office for National Statistics has today published the number of deaths by local authority that occurred up to May 15 but were registered up to May 23.

In West Suffolk, three people died at home, 46 at hospital, 12 in care homes and one at a hospice.

The figures show in Mid Suffolk, one person passed away at home, 38 in hospital, 15 in care homes and one at a hospice.

In Babergh, there were 29 deaths in hospital, 21 in care homes and one recorded as elsewhere.

There was one death at home in Breckland, 45 in hospital, 27 in care homes and one at a hospice.
