A143 at Wortham, between Diss and Bury St Edmunds, crash between two vehicles sees large tailbacks

There were large tailbacks on a major route between Diss and Bury St Edmunds earlier this morning.

Police were called to the A143 near Wortham at 8.20am following reports of a two-vehicle collision.

The crash caused stones to scatter along the road, a spokesperson for Suffolk police said.

Someone was taken to hospital after the incident as a precaution, but ambulance teams were not called.

The road reopened at about 10am.
