Pedestrian sustains life-threatening injuries in Lakenheath collision




A woman was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries after a collision in Lakenheath.

Suffolk Police closed Eriswell Road in the village for several hours while they investigated the incident, which happened around 5.45pm yesterday (Monday, January 7).

A spokesman for the force said: "A silver Renault Scenic car travelling south towards Lakenheath collided with a female pedestrian who was crossing the road.

"Officers are appealing for information or witnesses."
